Healite (LED Phototherapy)
What the Treatment Involves
Healite II is a low-level LED (LLLT) system that emits light (commonly in the 830 nm near-infrared band, also 633 nm / 415 nm in different modes) to non-thermally stimulate cells (photobiomodulation).
It is typically used as a non-ablative, non-invasive therapy—there is no heating or disruption of skin barrier.
During treatment, the head is placed over or close to the skin, and light is applied for a set time (often 10–20 minutes).
Pain / Sensation
Healite is painless—patients often describe a gentle warmth or soothing sensation, with no discomfort.
Downtime / Recovery
Because the therapy is non-ablative and low intensity, there is effectively no downtime. No redness, peeling, or open skin is expected.
It is commonly used as an adjunctive “recovery” modality following more aggressive treatments to accelerate healing, reduce edema/erythema, and improve patient comfort.
Typical uses for Healite / LED phototherapy include:
accelerating wound healing and recovery after surgical or energy-based (laser / RF) procedures
reducing erythema (redness) and edema (swelling)
supporting tissue repair in skin, joints, muscle (adjunctive in aesthetic or dermatologic practice)
improving overall skin appearance, tone, and health (gentle rejuvenation)
pain relief in minor musculoskeletal conditions (some reports)
