What the Treatment Involves

PicoSure Pro is a picosecond laser that delivers ultra-short pulses (picoseconds) of energy—commonly 755 nm—with minimal heat, favouring a photomechanical (photoacoustic) effect. It targets pigment, melanin, tattoo ink, and also stimulates collagen for skin rejuvenation.

The device includes multiple handpieces and lenses to customise spot size, depth, and fluence according to the target.

A session typically lasts 20–30 minutes (depending on area).

Pain / Sensation

Patients often report a mild stinging, snapping, or pricking sensation—like a rubber band snap—during treatment.

Numbing creams or cooling may be used to enhance comfort.

Downtime / Recovery

Downtime is generally mild to moderate depending on intensity and target.

In some more aggressive protocols, there may be mild flaking or peeling in the days following.

Clients are usually able to resume most normal activities quickly, with post-treatment care (sun protection, gentle skincare).
